Dr. Abed Benaichouche is an entrepreneur and technologist who specializes in industrial AI and big data analytics.

Abed earned a bachelor’s in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics from Ecole Polytechnique, a master’s in Computer Vision and Virtual Reality from Universite d’Evry, and a doctorate in Applied Mathematics and Data Science from Ecole des Mines de Paris.

After completing his PhD, he worked on a variety of AI and big data projects while with Total Energies, the French National Radioactive Waste Management Agency, and the French Geological Survey.

In 2018, he joined G42 as one of its first employees. In 2019, he co-founded AIQ, the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company’s AI joint venture with G42. As AIQ’s CTO, he created and led a team of hundreds of data scientists and software engineers in building the UAE’s first commercial supercomputer, developing and commercializing numerous AI-enabled applications, and patenting several novel oil & gas AI technologies. Leading the company a unicorn valuation within 3 years.

In 2022, Abed co-founded Convergaince, an applied AI venture spin out of MIT. CLADS, the Convergaince Low-code AI Development Studio, democratizes AI by accelerating the creation of applications by up to 20X.

Abed also play an active role as strategy advisor for multiple ventures capital and family offices in the UAE.
