Carl Ortiz is a global markets investor with around 20 years of experience managing investments across the emerging markets for institutional investors and family offices. Mr. Ortiz has been based in the Middle East for the past 15 years and serves as a board member for trading, investment, real estate, sports management, technology and holding companies. He currently forms part of the Al-Nasser Family Holdings Group where he oversees investment management activity and strategic partnerships. He holds an undergraduate degree from Bentley College and master’s degrees from the European Business School and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is an active philanthropist with special focus on deploying AI technology for improvements in traditional businesses which help rectify the absence of equal opportunity in education, healthcare, and finance.
