He is the CEO and Co-Founder of Velas, the fastest EVM blockchain and ecosystem for smart contracts and dApps. Velas is based in Zug, Switzerland and has grown quickly to become a leading technology company in the region.

Before being appointed CEO this year, Farkhad acted as Director of Business Development at Velas. His strong motivation to invest in the crypto sphere began in 2016 and he has since gained significant knowledge and experience in the industry, becoming a leader in the space. He has also founded Alpina Capital AG, a leading regulated crypto brokerage firm, and BitOrbit, a decentralized social media platform. His other previous roles include Partner and Head of Business Development at Blockchain Suisse AG and Executive director at RF Enterprise SA.

As a co-creator of the first crypto ISIN (international security identification number), Farkhad has paved the way for fellow crypto companies and regularly shares thought-provoking ideas of decentralization, Web3 and cryptocurrency.
