Mr. Leenong Li has over 26 years of experiences as technologist, entrepreneur, venture capitalist and institutional investor.

Born and raised in China, Mr. Li started working as an electronic engineer in Silicon Valley in 1987. He was an employee in two venture-backed semiconductor startups, which successfully went IPO on NASDAQ. In 1998, he went back to China and founded his own startup which became the largest online stock trading platform for China’s A-share market. He later joined an early stage venture capital firm and was based in Shanghai.

In 2010, Leenong joined Commonfund Capital, one of the most successful venture capital fund of funds, and opened its Asia office in Beijing. Over the subsequent six years, Leenong led the team and made over $450m commitments to over 15 China VC and Asia PE funds.

In 2015, Leenong joined the newly established Joy Capital and became the 4th partner of the firm. He leads fundraising and IR activities, and works closely the partners in fund construction and portfolio management/exit.
