Miray Zaki is a Managing Director at Gulf Capital where she is both the Head of Africa and the Head of Sustainability. Over the last few years, she co-ran a food security and sustainability focused fund, Planthesis, in the US and Europe.

Miray is the first ever female Chief Investment officer of a leading endowment in the Middle East, the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable & Humanitarian Foundation, a position she held before co-founding Planthesis and following a decade as a senior investment professional with the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA).

Miray Zaki managed investments totaling over $18 billion over the last 15 years. She is a twice-nominated Top 100 Most Influential Women in Finance by Dow Jones Financial News for both 2015 and 2016, and an award-winning Fulbright Scholar.

She has an MBA in Finance and Economics from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Science from the American University in Cairo, and she obtained her CFA Charter in 2010.
