He has deep experience in key sectors notably global financial services, consumer, education, life sciences and healthcare and emerging technologies derived from progressive and varied leadership roles ranging from global banks to venture capital and start-ups. He carries strong expertise in finance / accounting, strategy development, mergers / acquisitions / divestitures, investor relations, value creation, organizational transformation, strategic marketing and branding, talent acquisition and management, risk management, compliance, ESG, eco-system building and portfolio management.

Managing Director at Rabobank Group for 14 years (rated World’s Most Sustainable Bank by Global Finance). Ronil ran the global M&A and Capital markets business for Asia-Pacific. Member of Senior Leadership Team in Asia and the Global Executive Committee with NM Rothschild. This involved leadership / turnaround / integration and value creation in a cross-cultural platform. He also led the strategic cornerstone acquisition in the Agricultural bank of China for the Rabobank Managing Board. Ronil, prior to this was the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Rabobank India Finance, a greenfield NBFC in India. He was instrumental in managing, scaling up from scratch until final divestiture of stake to Rabobank. Rabobank India was ranked by Bloomberg as Top Corporate Finance House in India.

At the foundation of his versatile and innovative leadership, Ronil spent 8 years early in his career progressing through professional roles in internal audit, operations analysis, IT Consulting, corporate and structured finance, at United Technologies Corporation, Price Waterhouse, Bank of America, ANZ Bank Entrepreneurial and Investing expertise, Ronil is currently co-founder and CEO/CIO of an independent firm Raaga Holdings Pte Ltd for 10 years, a leading alternative investments and strategic advisory since 2013. He has built the Multi-Asset investing business along with key strategic partners and family offices. In addition, he holds senior roles with leading technology venture capital funds. Also completed key strategic advisory assignments for leading banks, family offices, corporates, institutions, government, and entrepreneurs.

Board expertise, Ronil is a member of the board of directors of Omnivore Partners and Mega Delta Capital, both leading venture capital funds as well as serves as Board Chair at a real estate asset manager. He has in the past served on the board of a listed consumer beverage company, a global block-chain firm, which was acquired, Rabobank / Rothschild joint venture which had oversight for the global business and has served as a Board member and Vocational Committee Chair for the Rotary Club of Singapore (non-profit).

A strong education and professional/academic development history. Ronil is currently an appointed Adjunct Faculty at Asian Institute of Management (Manila) and WMI (Singapore), both leading institutions. He also serves as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at INSEAD since 2017 where he has mentored students extensively. Ronil was appointed Member of the Innovation Evaluation Grant Committee and a BIG (Business Innovation Generator) Mentor at SMU in 2020.

Ronil is an alumni member of INSEAD and holds the IDP-C. (Certification in Corporate Governance). He also holds a Masters from Texas A&M University and a Bachelors from Muhlenberg College (Dana Foundation Scholar). In addition, he has completed the ISEP (Insead Social Entrepreneurship Program) from INSEAD, FMP (Financial Management Program) from Stanford University and was part of a Harvard Leadership Program nominated by Rabobank. Ronil is an invited Fellow of Institute of Directors, Member of Singapore Institute of Directors and the Rotary Club of Singapore. He is a citizen of Singapore by invitation.
