Dr. Irfan Al Hasani’s served as an Economic Expert for the Government of Dubai for nearly two decades.
Al Hasani has published in Arab and international journals, covering a wide range of themes, including, foreign trade, public-private partnerships (PPP), and oil markets. He also authored a textbook titled “International Finance”.
Afterwards, he became the Head of Strategy & Transformation Unit at the Arab Monetary Fund (AMF), where he developed an initiative of “Long-term finance for sustainable development in the Arab Countries”. His latest research were U.S.–China trade war, and stagflation.
Dr. Al Hasani has written hundreds of economic articles for leading UAE and Arab newspapers and magazines. He has also participated in numerous global conferences, the most recent ones are MENA Investment Congress 2025, 7th Edition (Abu Dhabi, 30 September-1st October 2025).
Dr. Al Hasani has specialized in PPP. In 2018, he was selected by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), as a co-founder of the World Association of PPP Units and Professionals (WAPPP). He also served as Co-Chair of its MENA Chapter.
His contributions have been recognized through numerous awards, including: Dubai Economic Research Award (2008), organized by the Government of Dubai, for the best applied research in the UAE; and Economic Personality of the Year (2017), awarded by the International Finance Award.
Dr. Al Hasani currently serves as the Founder of EconBrain Consulting, headquartered in Dubai.
Al Hasani holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Derby, UK, as well as Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Economics from Al-Mustansiriya University, Iraq.

Jain School of Global Management, she moved to INSEAD where she is Director, Hoffmann Institute and Africa Initiative. She develops programs for senior executives and manages research centers, fostering collaboration between academia and industry.
Holding an award-winning doctorate and qualifications from INSEAD, Singapore Management University and IIM Bangalore, Vinika combines scientific discipline with commercial insight to help organisations make evidence-based decisions. Before this, Fadi was based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where he held senior financial roles at Abdulrahman Saad AlRashid & Sons Co. Sadia Khan was appointed Commissioner, Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) by the Federal Government for a three-year term in March 2020. She was the first female to hold this post. Prior to that, she has served as the President & CEO of the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance (PICG).
Sadia has pursued a versatile career path traversing investment banking, development finance, financial regulation, family businesses and entrepreneurship across three continents. With Masters degrees in Economics from both Cambridge University and Yale University, Sadia started her career at Lehman Brothers in New York. After obtaining her MBA from INSEAD in France, she has worked with various international institutions and local regulatory authorities, including the Asian Development Bank in the Philippines, the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan and the State Bank of Pakistan. For the past two decades, Sadia has remained a passionate advocate of corporate governance and has served on various boards as an independent director. Her book entitled “Corporate Governance Landscape of Pakistan” was published by Oxford University Press in 2017.
In 2014, the French Government conferred on her, the prestigious French award, “Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite” (Knight of the National Order of Merit). Ms. Khan served as the Honorary Consul General of Finland in Karachi during 2012-2020. Her leadership and strategic management skills were recognized in a Case Study published by INSEAD in 2021, on her tenure as the Global President of the INSEAD Alumni Association. She was recognized by the International Directors Network (IDN) for excellence in governance as the first recipient of their Good Governance Award in 2021. She was awarded the Volunteer Leaders Award by INSEAD in 2023.
Sadia is currently based in Dubai, U.A.E where she is pursuing a portfolio career as an educator and practitioner of corporate governance, focused on sustainability.
