At COP28, key world leaders from diverse constituencies launched the Global Climate Finance Framework, which provides a new narrative for climate finance. It redefines climate investments as the unprecedented opportunity for shared prosperity and economic growth. This new Framework has 10 principles assigned to various stakeholders, such as philanthropies, governments, private sector, multilateral climate funds, civil society working on implementation of critical areas such as mobilizing domestic resources (UAE Green Banking $272bn), regional green industrialization initiatives (AGII $4.5bn) and unlocking a highway for private finance (ALTERRA $30bn).
