Jamila El Mir has over 16 years of experience in environmental and sustainability strategy and policy development on a wide range of topics including large-scale infrastructure development, masterplanning and citywide planning, climate change and urban waste systems. Her role generally involves close engagement with key decision-makers to optimise solution development, buy-in and overall sustainability impact.

Jamila is currently acting as senior advisor to the UN Climate Change High-Level Champion for COP28. Prior to this, Jamila acted as technical strategy and policy advisor for environment and sustainability with the Government of Dubai and held several positions in private sector working on environmental and city sustainability advisory.
