Hamad Sayah Al Mazrouei has been appointed the CEO of ADGM Registration Authority (RA) in January 2023. In his new role, he will be overlooking the development and management of various registration processes for both financial and non-financial services companies and real estate property within ADGM. As part of his responsibilities, Hamad will also oversee the compliance of ADGM-registered firms to its commercial rules and regulations.

In the years he’s spent with ADGM, Hamad has held many key leadership roles. His previous role as ADGM’s Chief Operating Officer helped the organisation in various strategic facets, particularly in developing corporate services supporting the growth of the international financial centre for the emirates of Abu Dhabi. Under his vision and leadership, ADGM embarked upon the ambitious “OneADGM Project” towards our strategic objective of achieving customer service excellence.

Hamad brings over 20 years of experience in strategic organisation and business development environments, focusing on developing strategies, systems, standards, capability buildings and organisation development through operational excellence.

Hamad is also the Chairman and Managing Director of the ADGM Academy Board, the knowledge arm of ADGM. As the Managing Director of the Academy, he is playing a pivotal role in serving the UAE national agenda of employability. Working closely with financial and digital authorities, Hamad designed and sits on the steering governance committees, which ensures local Human Capital needs are aligned with the UAE leadership vision 2030.

His Excellency Rashed Al Blooshi has started his professional career 24 years ago from Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, to assume different positions until he became the CEO of ADX. As he could attract attention to his competence and leave an obvious mark as a successful economic character and a modern executive with a clear future vision in the alignment of Abu Dhabi market strategy with the plans of Abu Dhabi government, in addition to developing its performance to promote the local economy.

His Excellency holds the position of Undersecretary of ADDED, as a holder of a pioneering experience who plays a pivotal role in the diversification of economic investment in the emirate, as well as the enrichment of knowledge economy in a manner that contributes to the economic vision of Abu Dhabi 2030. Fahima Abdulrazzaq Al Bastaki is the Chief Business & Market Development officer, ADX and a Board Member at Dubai Women’s Establishment.

Fahima carries more than 24 years of experience within banking, the financial sector, and capital markets. She has been appointed as a Chief Business & Market Development Officer at Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) in 2021 as part of the new leadership team to drive Exchange growth strategy and ADQ’s vision as a holding company.

At her current role, Fahima had the privilege to be part of the UAE’s SPAC Regulation Framework Project. Dr Ataf Ahmed is the Chief Investment Officer and Chief Executive Officer at Graphene Investments, a family office specializing in innovative technologies and is based out of Dubai.

Dr. Emara is an entrepreneur, operator & investor, enjoying a very strong international operational background & a solid track record of Private Equity Deals with 30 years of strong international exposure and operational background in managing a spectrum of multidisciplinary companies. He carries Healthcare & Life Sciences at heart! He is also the Founder and Managing Partner of several entrepreneurial ventures including Muse (a healthcare M&A and advisory firm), and Tech. Developers (an intellectual property commercialization venture). Dr. Emara began his career in various senior management positions across Canada and the Middle East in affiliations with distinguished, intercontinental companies like Sanofi, Bayer & Abbott.

As a “thought leader, Dr. Emara is a regular speaker on Private Equity, Investments & Operational Excellence at regional and international conferences. Dr. Emara, received his Bachelor in Medicine & Surgery from Cairo University, EgyptFYI in 1992 and earned his MBA from City University, Seattle, USA in 2001. He further received Executive Certifications from some of the world’s most renown institutes like Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, INSEAD, IMD, Chicago Booth, and MIT. He is a proud Alumnus of Harvard Business School, GMP-23 in 2017.

Yagub is an entrepreneur with more than 10 years experience in private equity and investment banking across top-tier global firms including Mubadala Investment Company, Deutsche Bank as well as Emirates NBD Asset Management. In 2018, he also founded a VAT advisory firm, Themaar Group of which he is currently a board member.

Yagub education includes: Bachelor’s degree, Double Major, Banking and Finance, Queensland University of Technology.

Yagub’s experience:

• As founder of YAS Investments, Yagub heads an investment and advisory firm serving regional startups and the family groups in the UAE.
• In 2018, Yagub founded Themaar Consultancy Group, a VAT advisory firm, which he turned profitable in the first year with over 300 clients nationwide.
• Whilst at Mubadala, under the capacity of Vice President, he served as a key member in the strategic investment relationship between the UAE and Russia and later Kazakhstan, helping comanage a USD 6bn fund of which USD 1.2 bn was deployed in Russia .
• Before Mubadala, he joined with the M&A team of Advanced Technology Investment Company (ATIC), a 100% subsidiary owned by Mubadala, where he helped develop the capabilities for the second largest semiconductor manufacturing company.
• He was also part of the investment team at Emirates NBD Asset management where he raised USD 40mn from investors and financial institutions.

Born in France, David studied Business and Economics at Université Paris IX Dauphine and at Bar Ilan University, and has extensive experience of more than 15 years in the Corporate and Private Banking industry.

Prior to joining Shine Global Family Office, David acted as Vice-President at Lombard Odier in Geneva, a leading Swiss private bank dealing with High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI).

Over the years, David gathered a vast know-how in creating and building relationships with HNWI and developing new markets worldwide, more specifically in Israel and in Europe.

David has a substantial financial background. He has accumulated many years of experience in Corporate and Investment Banking, having held senior positions in leading European banks, which provided him with a strong basis of understanding businesses in the real economy.

David believes that by obtaining a true understanding of a client enables him to achieve optimal financial and personal results. He also believes the Wealth Management sector must undergo a structural change based on digitization and technology.

Miriam Kiwan is the CEO of INTEROPE, a Web 3 strategic advisory focused on the development of the regional web 3.0 economy. Interope supports international entities expanding to the region through regulatory support services and strategic access to market.

She is also a Founding Board Member of the Emirates Family Office Association, a not for profit association supporting and connecting regional and global family offices. In addition, she is an advisor to DeFi and Layer 1 protocols.

Prior to this, Miriam led Digital Assets and Strategic Partnerships at Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) until mid 2022, where she led the development of the digital asset ecosystem by focusing on attracting global players within the crypto and web3 space, while leveraging new partnerships that contribute to the growth of ADGM. She has engaged and onboarded key players in the tech and web3 space, including virtual assets service providers, fund managers and other web3 entities from Asia and the US.

Miriam also spearheaded tech entrepreneurship and innovation at ADGM, focusing on positioning the Centre as the leading tech startup hub in the MEASA region, while improving connectedness with regional and global tech ecosystems. Through close collaborations with government entities, investors, accelerators and other key ecosystem enablers, Miriam led several initiatives to improve access to funding, market and talent in the UAE.  This resulted in over 450 tech start-ups, VCs and accelerators joining the ADGM community since 2018.

Throughout her career, Miriam held various strategic roles within the Web3, technology, financial services and higher education sectors, both in the UAE and Europe. She holds a Global EMBA from TRIUM, a joint program between London School of Economics, New York University Stern and HEC Paris. Hussein Tantawi is an accomplished investment professional with more than twenty-two years of asset management experience in the United States, UAE and MENA region. He began his career at the California office of leading Hedge Fund of Funds firm Sands Brothers with a focus on high growth listed equities and late-stage venture capital investments in the United States. He later relocated to Dubai, UAE and was responsible for managing the proprietary investments of one of the UAE’s largest banks in UAE and regional equities. Prior to joining Iceberg Capital as Head of Alternative Investments, he was CEO of National Bank of Egypt (DIFC) for 10 years.

Mario joined Tyrus Capital in November 2015 as Portfolio Manager. Prior to that, he was Chief Investment Officer at Dubai-based Belhoul Investment Office and before that, Investment Manager at Waterloo-based Inter-IKEA Treasury. Mario has developed a 17-year track record in Private Equity spanning across sourcing, analysing, structuring and executing primary and secondary transactions covering developed and emerging markets. Prior to that, from 2001 to 2003, he worked as Investment Analyst in the Merchant Banking team at Lehman Brothers in London. Mario holds a bachelor degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering and a master degree in Business Administration from Ecole Superieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (ESSEC) in Paris.

With a career spanning nearly three decades in regulations, cryptocurrency and financial payments, Tim Byun brings to OK Group his passion of making digital assets accessible to the world, while working alongside governments and regulators.

His 23 years of experience at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, FDIC, Visa and other traditional financial organizations prepared him to help bring cryptocurrencies to the mainstream. He has been a C-Level executive in the digital asset ecosystem since 2014, starting as the Chief Compliance Officer at BitPay, and most recently serving as the CEO of OKCoin USA.
